Well well well Merlin, I never knew you liked Twin Atlantic! Sam is indeed a babe of the highest order, and even nicer in person.
As soon as I say this, everyone will take the piss. It’s just, I think… part of me is always looking for someone to turn around, buy me a drink, give me a hug and say it’s all right… because I just go off on one. For days I can’t talk to people. And it shocks me because I’m still doing it. I want to be alone and I want people to notice me — both at the same time.

Friendly Fires - Hawaiian Air (Live)
So excited to dance like a loon when Friendly Fires play the Leeds leg of the Olympic Tour Run. Even better because the tickets were free, it’s held in a massive manor house garden and hopefully the weather will be gorgeous. Bring on the Kopperbergs!
An innovative initiative is taking place in the Philippines to bring sustainable lighting to homes in impoverished communities. Empty plastic bottles are installed in the roof, filled with water and bleach they refract sunlight. These “solar light bulbs” provide light equivalent to a 55watt light bulb.
